A young boy begins a magical Christmas Eve journey aboard a train only filled with other joyous children—all heading to the North Pole to meet Santa Claus before he starts his night’s rounds. For anyone with children (or who is still a kid—old or young), Chris Van Allsburg’s 1986 Caldecott award-winning picture book, The Polar Express, beautifully illustrates the wonder, mystery, and joy of believing in Santa Claus. My composition is dedicated to all those who still hear Santa’s bells…
